Rules and Regulations

These Terms set the rules for using the Parimatch website and mobile app in Tanzania. They apply to every registered and unregistered visitor located in Tanzania. By accessing, registering or placing a bet, you agree to the legal requirements below and any house rules referred to. You must be at least 18 and eligible under Tanzanian law to use the services. Read this page regularly because the Terms may be updated in line with regulation.

General Terms

These general rules explain how the betting services operate for customers in Tanzania. By using the platform, you form a legal agreement that sets your rights and responsibilities, the permitted use of your account, and how disputes are handled.

  • Acceptance of Terms
    • By accessing the site, completing registration, or placing a bet, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, the General Betting Rules, and any product or bonus rules shown in the relevant pages.
    • Additional rules may apply to particular services, promotions, or bonuses. Where there is a conflict, specific rules for that product or promotion take priority over this general section.
  • Eligibility and Account Registration
    • You must be at least 18 years old, legally allowed to participate in betting under Tanzanian law, and physically present in Tanzania when placing bets.
    • One account per person is permitted. Accounts are personal and cannot be transferred or used on behalf of another person or business.
    • Verification checks may include identity, age, mobile number ownership, and residence. Failure to pass verification may lead to restrictions or closure.
  • Changes to Terms
    • Parimatch may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates take effect once published on the website or app.
    • Continued use of the services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the services and request account closure.
  • Proper Use of the Platform
    • Use the platform for lawful betting only. Activities such as fraud, bonus abuse, misuse of odds, collusion, arbitrage using multiple accounts, bots or scripts, scraping, or distributing proprietary data are prohibited.
    • Any attempt to interfere with system integrity, manipulate an event, or bypass location controls may result in bet cancellation and account action.
  • Content and Intellectual Property
    • All content, trademarks, markets, statistics, software, and odds are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
    • Copying, redistributing, or making derivative use of site content or data feeds is not allowed.
  • Liability and Service Availability
    • Services are provided using reasonable skill and care. Interruptions can occur due to maintenance or factors beyond our control. Parimatch is not liable for indirect loss, loss of data, loss of profits, or failures caused by third-party networks or devices.
    • To the extent permitted by law, liability for any settled bet dispute is limited to the amount of the stake or the amount due for that bet. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Tanzanian law.
  • Governing Law, Complaints, and Disputes
    • These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Complaints should be raised promptly using the in-platform help channels so they can be investigated and resolved.
    • Unresolved disputes may be escalated according to applicable Tanzanian procedures, including oversight by relevant authorities where required.

General Betting Rules

These General Betting Rules apply to all bets unless a sport or market has specific rules. Read this section together with any event-level notes and bonus conditions shown at the time of betting.

  • Who May Place a Bet
    • Only verified, registered customers aged 18 or above, located in Tanzania, may place bets.
    • The operator may refuse, limit, or partially accept any bet and may set account-level limits.
  • Bet Acceptance and Confirmation
    • A bet is accepted when it appears in your bet history as confirmed and a bet ID is generated on the server. Pending or interrupted submissions are not confirmed.
    • Pre-match bets must be placed before the scheduled start time. Live betting is allowed only for events flagged as in-play.
  • Minimum and Maximum Stakes, Payout Limits
    • Minimum and maximum stake amounts are shown on each market. Limits may vary by sport, event, market type, and your account status.
    • Maximum payout limits per bet, per market, or per event may apply and are published in product-specific pages or house rules.
  • Prices, Odds Changes, and Errors
    • Bets settle at the odds displayed and accepted at the time of confirmation. Markets may suspend or change odds without notice.
    • If a palpable error occurs (for example a clear odds or market mistake), the operator may void the bet or settle at the correct odds that were reasonably available when the bet was placed.
  • Settlement of Results
    • Results are settled based on official results from the relevant governing body for the event. Subsequent corrections do not typically affect settlement unless specified in sport-specific rules.
    • If an event is postponed or abandoned, settlement follows the sport rules displayed on the site. Where no sport-specific rule exists, the general position is to settle when the event is completed within 72 hours, otherwise bets may be void unless the market outcome was already determined.
    • Dead-heat rules may apply where there are joint winners.
  • Cancellations and Voids
    • Bets may be voided in cases of rule breaches, prohibited use, clear pricing or market errors, late bets on pre-match markets, or integrity issues.
    • If a selection is void, the bet may be settled on the remaining selections at adjusted odds, or returned where applicable.
  • Cash Out
    • If Cash Out is offered, a Cash Out request is accepted only when confirmed on the server. Availability can be restricted by market suspension, price changes, or system thresholds.
    • If settlement of the underlying event conflicts with a Cash Out due to an error, the operator may correct the settlement to reflect the accurate outcome.
  • Bonus Bets and Promotions
    • Free bet stakes are not returned in winnings unless stated otherwise in the specific bonus rules. Wagering requirements may apply to bonuses.
    • Attempted bonus abuse or hedging to secure a guaranteed profit across accounts or platforms may lead to bet cancellation and account restrictions.

Payment Rules

These rules govern deposits, withdrawals, and related account transactions for customers in Tanzania.

  • Currency and Ownership
    • The account currency is Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). All transactions are processed in TZS unless stated otherwise.
    • You must use payment methods registered in your own name. Third-party deposits or withdrawals are not allowed.
  • Deposit Methods and Limits
    • Available methods may include mobile money channels such as M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, and HaloPesa, as well as bank transfer or cards where available.
    • Method availability, minimum and maximum amounts, and any applicable fees are displayed in the cashier. A provider may charge its own fees.
  • Withdrawal Rules and Timeframes
    • Withdrawals are usually returned to the same method used for deposit, where possible. The operator may split withdrawals to meet method limits.
    • Standard processing is typically 0 to 72 hours after approval. Processing can take longer where additional checks are required by KYC/AML or during peak periods.
  • KYC/AML Verification
    • Before a first withdrawal, you may need to provide valid identification, age proof, and, where requested, address confirmation or proof of payment ownership.
    • The platform may request source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information. Failure to provide satisfactory documents may result in delays, limits, or cancellations.
  • Transaction Restrictions and Turnover
    • The operator may require reasonable turnover of deposited funds on betting services before allowing withdrawals, in line with anti-money laundering controls.
    • Suspicious payment activity, chargebacks, or mismatched details can lead to fund holds and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Cancellations and Reversals
    • Deposits are final once credited. A pending withdrawal may be cancelled by you in the cashier until processing begins, subject to availability.
    • The operator may cancel or delay a withdrawal to comply with legal obligations, resolve account issues, or complete verification.
  • Taxes and Fees
    • Taxes or statutory deductions may apply to stakes or winnings as required by Tanzanian law. Any applicable deductions will be shown on the transaction record.
  • Bonus Wallets
    • If bonus balances are provided, wagering requirements and other conditions must be met before a withdrawal of bonus-derived funds. Refer to the specific bonus terms for details.

Responsible Gambling

Responsible gambling safeguards are designed to help you manage your betting activity and reduce risk.

  • Tools to Manage Play
    • Deposit, stake, and loss limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits in your account.

  • Practical Guidance
    • Set a budget you can afford to lose and do not chase losses.
    • Read the rules for each market and bonus to understand the odds, settlement, and wagering implications.

Anti-Money Laundering

    • Additional documents may be required to confirm address, mobile money ownership, and source of funds.
  • Monitoring and Detection
    • Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns, such as rapid deposits and withdrawals without betting activity, structuring to avoid thresholds, mismatched names, or repeated bonus-led transfers.
    • Bets and event selections may be reviewed for integrity risks. Threshold-based and risk-based controls apply to individual accounts and payment instruments.
  • Actions and Consequences
    • The operator may delay or refuse transactions, place limits, suspend or close accounts, or freeze funds where suspicious activity is detected.
    • Reports may be filed with the Financial Intelligence Unit as required by law. Interest is not paid on frozen funds.
  • Record-Keeping
    • Records of identification and transactions are retained for the period required by Tanzanian laws and regulations.
